Baby Bjorn Backpacks

DadLabs ep 392 — Jim from Baby Bjorn shows the Gear Daddy how to properly fit a baby carrier to the male frame. It involves lots of loosening of straps. Thanks to Ben at the DadLabs community for suggesting this ep. Brought to you by Baby Bjorn. Distributed by TubeMogul. Distributed by Tubemogul.

I've heard from a lot of people that the Bjorn is really uncomfortable so we've never bothered with it. Try a mei tai carrier like the Kozy Carrier or Babyhawk.

I have a Bjorn. I think it's great. I haven't tried anything else. If you go to Babies R Us, you might be able to try one on that's on display. Then you can decide if it's right for you.

Personally, I think that when the baby gets closer to 20 pounds, Dad should be the one wearing the carrier.

I really liked my bjorn up until about 14 or 15 lbs. Then it started to pull on my shoulders and I could only wear it for a limited amount of time. I did like it 100 times better than the cheapo one that I bought earlier in my pregnancy. If you can't stand the target carrier, I'm sure that the bjorn will work alot better.

Another suggestion might be a mei tie wrap. I totally love it and it more evenly distributes his weight. I feel like I could carry him all day!! Plus it is so much lighter to carry in my diaper bag than the bjorn!!

Ive heard that the Maya wrap is much better for bigger babies. You can use it on your back and your front and any way you choose.

When I went to Disney world with my 14 mo. old… She was about that size at that time… I brought the stroller. That way, I could carry souvenirs and diaper bags..etc. It was a pain in the butt to tote everywhere but on the other hand it was a life saver.

You're really stuck with a baby in Disneyland no matter what you choose. They don't have microwaves to heat up their food, there is like 1 station to breastfeed or whatever and it's in the most inconvenient place… Diaper stations are FILTHY.
