    The Baby Bjorn carriers can be used no matter how old the baby is, as long as they weigh 8 lbs or more. When they are under 3-4 months old always wear them facing you and use the extra buttons near their legs to make sure they don't slip out the leg hole! Once they are over 3-4 months old and have good head support you can start wearing them facing outward.

    The original and air carriers max out at 21 lbs, the active carrier maxes out at 26 lbs!

    I used mine around 2mos. or so. I think you use it when the baby is able to hold its head up at least a little bit by itself. I didn't want my babies to be all slumped over and "bobble headed" when I walked.

    I waited until I felt that my kids necks and backs were strong enough to support themselves if they had too. Around 2-3 months.
