As I mentioned above, I would suggest getting a cover for your glider regardless of the material, just because it makes things so much easier should you be faced with a huge mess.
Gliding in this chair is a breeze, not only because the ottoman moves with you, but it has enclosed metal ball bearings to give you the relaxed, gentle motion that you and your baby will need. I do wish that the back would recline to give you more comfort, but regardless it is still very inviting. Another feature that I like about this glider is the addition of pockets on the sides of the arms, so you can keep books, wipes, and anything else you might need within arms reach. Overall, this is a fantastic piece of furniture.
